As part of the $1.9 Trillion American Rescue Plan, additional funds were allocated for children with disabilities under the IDEA 611/619 grants. While school districts have been notified of the additional funds, these funds may not have found their way into allotments or calculations of grants for providers. The NYS Education Department has published tables as to the amount of the additional allotments:
Providers should verify that they are billing for and receiving the correct funds, including the additional ARP allotments. These allotments, similar to other IDEA funding, can be utilized to supplement the state tuition/fee based funding received.
