Michael Bellavia is an Emmy-winning producer and the CEO of HelpGood, a social impact marketing and communications agency that works with nonprofits, government agencies, corporate social responsibility teams and purpose-driven organizations. At HelpGood, Michael leads agency growth and oversees client strategy across a range of impact sectors including education, health, homelessness, DEI and the environment. In 2020 HelpGood was named a Purpose Pioneer by Campaign US. For over a decade, Michael has been the social media strategist for Smokey Bear, the longest-running public service campaign in U.S. history, and he was the social strategist on the launch of Love Has No Labels, the biggest social marketing campaign in history. Clients include Ad Council, United Way, American Heart Association, Los Angeles County, AT&T, USAID and Planned Parenthood. Prior to HelpGood, for 15 years Michael was the CEO of Animax, a creative technology studio that won the first-ever digital Emmy Award and was on the Inc. 500 two years in a row. Michael has an MBA from Columbia University and a BS in Engineering from The University of Michigan. Michael loves Dolly Parton, being on game shows and hiking the hills of Los Angeles with his son.
