Paul Trapani
President, LISTnet

Paul Trapani started his technology career working as an analyst programmer helping clients customize accounting and other business software to meet their needs. After eight years of consulting and programming experience he co-founded XT Group, an IT consulting and support company in 2005. The company eventually was acquired with Trapani serving as the CEO until 2013. His next role was a turnaround situation as Vice President of Operations at Adil Business System, a large government contract staffing company.
After Adil was acquired, he started PJT Consulting, a software consulting and development company. At the same time, he officially joined the LISTnet (Long Island Software and Technology Network). LISTnet is a member supported organization with the goal of creating a strong technology ecosystem on Long Island. Trapani is co-manager of the Digital Ballpark, a co-working space for technology, creative and innovation focused companies. He has been an Adjunct Professor at NYIT teaching an entrepreneurship class along with LISTnet Chairman Peter Goldsmith, called Technology Business Startup Practices. He recently started a new venture called PassTech Development that helps companies create reliable and easy to use software that meets their needs. PassTech also has a software product called Outcomes Express, that is used by organizations that do skills training and workforce development.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree from SUNY Geneseo and a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Hofstra University. His previous awards include Long Island Business News 40 Under 40 an the LISTnet Techonomic Award. He lives in Bay Shore with his wife Ellen.
