Not-For-Profit Basics – Suffolk Academy of Law
Many attorneys serve on a not-for-profit board. But many attorneys do not have a basic understanding of how non-profits are structured and which laws govern non-profit organizations. This course will focus on:
-The Attorney General’s registration and filing requirements and amending purposes
-The IRS Form 990 filing
-Not-for-Profit governance including fiduciary duties of Board members
-A roadmap to compliance with fiduciary duties and traps for the unwary

The program will provide 1.5 CLE credits in Professional Practice. Members $45; Non-Members $60.
