At the New York State’s first Housing, Community, and Faith based Development Conference Governor Cuomo announced that $50 million is available for nonprofits through the Governor’s Nonprofit Infrastructure Capital Investment Program. This program will support projects that improve the quality and effectiveness of programs that provide essential services to millions of New Yorkers. This program will help organizations complete their capital projects that further allow them to provide crucial services to their communities. The funding from this program can be used to finance construction projects that include renovations and additions to program space, energy efficiency reformations, improving accessibility, and additional technology projects. This program will have a large impact on New York’s affordable housing programs allowing them to improve and grow throughout the communities. In order to receive this funding, all nonprofits who are looking to undertake capital projects must submit applications by December 23, 2015. The applications are located on the New York State’s Grants Gateway website.
